My first night with my new Swift LT was...
Great! I slept so good I was almost late for work. I didnt get a chance to download the info off the card but I will when I get home from work tonight. I didnt realize what a difference the mask could make. And I was sleeping good with my old mask....So far after one night Im very pleased!
Re: My first night with my new Swift LT was...
Please keep us up to date on your mask, I'm thinking about getting one as a back up.

That's great. I've been using my LT for two nights. Average about 5 hours each night. My tip of my nose and the nares get a little tender and I end up taking if off the last couple of hours of slep. I think it will get better as I learn how to wear it and how tight..

not too tight at all and yes...the soreness will subside...I went through the same thing with the swift II...It's normal to be somewhat sore initially but it will go away.boblong wrote:That's great. I was sore at first, too, but then again I was wearing the mask WAY too tight. As a matter of fact, when I decided to loosen the straps to it is JUST snug enough, I get a BETTER seal!

If you get one and you don't mouth breathe, I would bet good money it won't be your "back up" for long.sharperjudy wrote:Please keep us up to date on your mask, I'm thinking about getting one as a back up.
ETA: Oh, I see you already use a nasal pillow, so you should be good to go. Never tried the optilife so I don't know if you'll like these better or not...

SnuggleHose - Got the 8 foot and cut it down to 6, used the rest for mask hoses.
Memory Foam Pillow - Cut my own out of my Tempur-pedic pillow. (works great!)
Hose Mgmt - Velcro Tie Strap

I should put this in my sig in huge block letters... Lansinoh Lanolin. It's for nursing mommies and can be found at the drug store next to the breast pumps. Not cheap, $10 for a 2 oz tube, but you just use about a 3/8" on the nares and it works great and helps with the seal. As my nares have toughened up, I still use it for optimum sealing.freepostg wrote:not too tight at all and yes...the soreness will subside...I went through the same thing with the swift II...It's normal to be somewhat sore initially but it will go away.boblong wrote:That's great. Also, don't tighten the straps on the top of your head TOO tight. The pillows were designed to fit right up into the nares, not smushed up. Good luck.

Thanks, all, I was not trying to hijack Andy's thread.
Sharkbait, I did get the Lanolin based on your recommendation I had read before. Used it each night. Last night was even better, almost 7 hours, a lot less tenderness. Getting the adjustment less tight and better. Now having some hose management issues but got a plan for that...
Thanks again...
