help exporting data from encore pro

Post by reefdreamer » Fri Nov 07, 2008 8:47 pm

How do I export the data from the encore pro software. I can bring up my info but do not see a place I can save it to be able to download it on the web. Wanted to share my results.

sorry i don't use encore pro... just keep bumping the post and someone will answer. You may want to be more specific in the title of your post, because some people are selective about which posts they open.
e.g. "help exporting from encore pro"

Do you want the reports (like some folks post on here) or just the data itself (to do something else with)?

Asking because it's 2 different ways to do it.

Reports you can print what you have scan and make into either pdf's or jpg's... or you can just save it is pdf's.

Data you can actually do an export (at least you could with 1.6... haven't tried with 1.

When you open the report ask for full details. If you click on file in the upper left corner it should give you an option to export it in either HTML, PDF or TIFF format. Just tell it where to save it. This is for Pro 1.8i. If you have a previous version it may be different.

When I download it has an option to save in Adobe (PDF). I generally do this because it is easier to navagate in it and I do not have to have the SQL database running to look at it.

I save my reports as a .pdf file. I can open, view, print reports without having to open Encore. When the file is open in adobe, there is an export tab. Export to .jpg. You then have pictures of your report. In order to post them here, you'll need to go to photobucket.com. Set up a free account. Upload the pictures you want into photobucket. Photobucket will then give you a something that reads [img ........ /img] Copy this string and paste into here. Once submitted, the picture should be there. Hope this helps. ANything else, just ask.

My guess is this is Encore Viewer which doesn't export or save and NOT Encore Pro which does.

Changing your equipment icons to text will help us help you. The icons ALL look the same.

If it is in fact Encore Viewer The only way I know to export and save it is to print to a PDF file using a program like Primo PDF (free). You can convert from a PDF to a JPEG file to save in Photobucket.

If you do have Encore Pro, you have two good ways depending what you want to store, view the report after clicking full details, then click on print, for storage I save the files as .pdf files, I only save the dailies from the report, I consider the other pages to be useless for deciding treatment, and a waste of space.

In Adobe Acrobat, If I want to put on the web to share, I save the .pdf file, from with-in Acrobat by saving the file as JPEG (.jpg), in the "Save As" screen. Then I take the .jpgs I want, and upload them to Photo Bucket, or some other photo sharing service. I then link where the photo is, to my post here, with the "img" button.

Yes, it's a lot to go through to get it done correctly, but not impossible.

Let's say you have Encore and print dailies to pdf files, 1 for each day. You then can use a free pdf combiner pgm such as PDF Redirect to put them into a single pdf file. You can get the free or pro version Here. I've used it for a long time and have combined some very large pdf reports without a problem.

For some reason I save it as a pdf file and can open it in adobe reader (newest edition...just updated) and then it as on the file tab...save as text and save as html and that is it...not sure where the darn jpg save as place is. I am able to get data and print it out with no problems from encore pro. Just trying to get it so I can share my data on the forum.

It's probably the long way around but this works if you have a scanner. Print your daily data page, since that's what people here like to look at, in the PDF form. You can then scan it and choose to save it as jpg file type (at least my scanner allows that). You then have the jpg form to upload to Photobucket or another such program.

I open the PDF file with Photoshop Elements (I'm sure any photo editing program would do it)and once it is open then tell it to save as a JPEG. It converts and then can be loaded to Photobucket. I have done it with a scanner but you loose sharpness and makes it hard to read.

If you don't have a photoeditor let me know and PM me your e-mail address and send me the file, I will be glad to convert it and send it back to you.

From Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can open the file, then click save as, change it to .jpg, and it will save the.pdf as separate .jpgs. then upload them to photo bucket or where ever. Jim

I don't know if the free version will do this as it's been years since I used it.
