Finally fixed my dry mouth problems!

Post by psikes » Mon Oct 27, 2008 3:22 pm

This has been quite a journey for me in getting to the point where I am getting a good night of sleep. I have tried countless masks and always had trouble with dry mouth during the night to the point of being almost painful. I was also still snoring in my mask, even a nasal mask (Activa). My sleep Doc kept raising the pressure (from 9 up to 11 now) and trying different masks. My RT suggested adding another humidifier (Resperonics H2) and one more mask (F&P 432) and lo and behold things are working as they should now. It took a few days to get the dueling humidifiers to work together and get the mask fitted properly but all is finally well after only 4 months.

The final problem to overcome is 2 small leaks under my chin with this mask. My chin is just narrower than the mask is made for. I may try cutting some small wedges of foam and inserting them between the two mask parts. Any other suggestions from folks who have used this mask?

Thanks - Phil
