I must be missing something

I've always been a collector. When I was a kid I started collecting bottle caps. I'd go around to Service Stations...remember when they gave service at gas stations...and empty the bottle caps out of the Coke machines. Later I collected LP's, now replaced by cd's...wait...cd's are out dated and it's iPods. I'm getting old...but that's not the point. I moved on to collect more expensive "toys." Gems and minerals, guitars, guitar amplifiers. Collecting is like a disease with me. Now it's cpap masks. I've only been on the hose for a month and already I have 4 masks. That's a new one per week of treatment. This could get more expensive than vintage guitars. Anyhow, I have this nice collection of masks and every dang one of them has a buckle or fastner right on the back of the head! Right there where your head hits the pillow! It would seem that the designers want us to be uncomfortable. It would seem that the back of the head is the last place they would put a buckle! I must be missing something.

As in, the people who design this stuff don't use it?

Notthatbob - This is a good place to come! I have had several masks over the 5+ years I have had diagnosed sleep apnea. The 3 I am currently using do not have a buckle at the back of the head. They are all Respironics. I have the Simplicity, the Comfort Curve (most people don't have much luck with this one), and the Optilife.

If the only problem is the buckle placement, get in touch with PADACHEEEK. She makes covers for headgear(including buckle covers). You can check out her web site at http://www.padacheek.com or just PM her...she is a forum member. She will be sure to help you with the buckle problem!
