Do you have no personal insurance through work? I'm sure Quebec would cover at least basic equipment, I'm pretty sure OHIP does in Ont., but having been on my husb's plan, have never had to submit. Why not just call and ask? I also order directly from Cpap.com (no customs duty for med. devices) as it's so much cheaper than local (N.S.) companies, and then submit to our co. plan.

Each province does its own thing, outside of private insurance. I have no insurance, so the Ontario government paid $780 for a basic machine and mask, and I paid $260.

Your sleep doctor or family doctor can be a good source of information. An even better source may be a vendor, such as Vitalaire which has offices in Quebec. Or phone the provincial health care administrator.

If you want, you can give me a call, I live in Montreal, and I don't mind to share experience. 514-504-7311 at work, before 17:00 on weekdays
TV and PC are my enemies. I'd rather walk for 30 min. than sit in front of TV/PC for 2 hours.

Hello

I am lucky in Manitoba that our health system covers just about everything except filters.
