Sweet Spot...or Not?

Post by krousseau » Thu Dec 27, 2007 8:49 pm

I have chronic insomnia and I spend a fair amount of time awake with the machine on. When I'm awake my AHI is 0 and my pressure is low-doesn't that skew my numbers when I'm on APAP? I'm not even sure I could get a sweet spot on CPAP-my sleep is so irregular I'd have to stay at each pressure for days to average out the variance. Or am I missing something???

Faced with the choice between changing one's mind and proving that there is no need to do so, almost everyone gets busy on the proof.....Galbraith's Law

It will skew your average pressure, but will have less of an impact on the "90%" info - which is the the pressure at or below which you spend 90% of your time.

No, you're not missing anything.

If you keep your machine in auto mode, you're covered either way.
