So I've been on CPAP with no real feeling of relief. I'm still tired, but with the Liberty I got last week, it's getting better.
Well, my Remstar M series Pro has had issues since I got it. I had to replace the smart card, reseat the reader, and a few other things. It just will start beeping in the middle of the night, and won't shut off. I'll have to unplug the machine, and turn it back on. And yes -- every alarm on the machine is turned off, and I've called the DME. I have a replacement on it's way.
The other night, it happened after 30 minutes of sleep. I restarted it 4 times, but it would not stop beeping. At one point, I fell asleep with the damn disconnect unplugged as I was waiting for it to reset. It's a weird feeling to wake up with the mask on, and your air coming thru a 1 inch hole. I finally had to give up for the evening, and sleep without it.
I woke up dead on my feet. Dead to the point that a 5-Hour energy drink barely stirred me. I had to leave early, and take a nap when I got home (by then the machine was working).
I guess it is working. Sure would be nice to wake up refreshed though.
Well, it turns out it IS working

The Force? Duct Tape is the Force. It has a light side & a dark side & holds the whole damn univers together!
Re: Well, it turns out it IS working
When that's happened to me, I've been able to silence it by just pulling the card out of the slot and re-inserting it. In the most recent situation when it happened to me, I think I had transferred the card to a different machine. The machine will write the serial number of the machine to the card when started and it may have encountered a problem doing that....that night. But, after removing and re-inserting, everything was fine.Jefe wrote:So I've been on CPAP with no real feeling of relief. I'm still tired, but with the Liberty I got last week, it's getting better.

I've found out that unplugging it WON'T fix the problem.....the card HAS to be removed first.
Could it be that you had erased your card prior to that happening?
