I just saw this on YouTube. I have no idea how solid this is or even if it's been insurance certified yet? Thinking-about
KPAP (Kairos Positive Airway Pressure) is a newer positive airway pressure therapy designed to treat obstructive sleep apnea by delivering air pressure only when it is needed most during the breathing cycle, rather than maintaining a constant high pressure like traditional CPAP.
How KPAP Works
Targeted Timing:Named after the Greek word kairos("at the right time"), the algorithm drops pressure during inspiration and much of expiration, then raises it back to optimal therapeutic levels right at end-expiration.
Vulnerable Airways:End-expiration is when the upper airway is most susceptible to narrowing or collapse, so precise timing maximizes airway support while lowering overall average pressure.
Key Potential Benefits
Equal Efficacy:Clinical studies show KPAP is just as effective at reducing the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) as standard CPAP.
Improved Comfort:Research indicates high patient preference for KPAP over CPAP, largely due to easier exhalation and lower overall inspiratory pressure.
Reduced Leaks:Clinical testing demonstrated that KPAP reduced unintentional air leaks by over 50% compared to traditional continuous pressure.

Autoset machines increase and decrease pressure as needed.

Re: KPAP New Machine
Buying it? Why?
If you fall asleep within 15 minutes or so, who cares? What difference does a comfort measure make if you're asleep?
If you look at their efficiency data it's not all that impressive:
Based on Sleep Efficiency ALL those guys are normal sleepers.
If you look at Total Sleep Time both groups are only sleeping for 3 hours!! WTF good is that?
Now if they take a bunch of TWAs with 50% SE and turn them into 90s w/7.8 hours of sleep, THEN they'll have something.

A link to the YouTube would be nice.
Don't see the validity of discussing a topic only you have seen.
