The installation instructions for installing EncorePro and MyEncore (which are excellent, btw) suggest not erasing the smart card when we download the information. Just curious, but why don't we want to erase it?
Don't erase EncorePro smartcard?

Leo........
I leave my card un-erased for about a month......then I erase. I've found that if I don't do it this way, the card fills up....then, stops recording data.
Because I don't have to please any DME, doctor, or insurance company I don't worry about proof of "compliance".
Encore Pro stores all the information...so, I could prove "compliance" if I had to.
Finally, I suggest that you download a copy of James Skinner's software called "Encore Pro Analyzer". I found that MyEncore had not been updated
and Analyser has been kept up to date. I find that Analyzer is a better program than MyEncore. Jskinner doesn't charge for his program....but it's nice to send him a few bucks if you use it and find it to be good quality.

Leo, I don't have to prove "compliance" to anyone -- I have no insurance, no doctor, no DME. The info is for me, and I'm using just Encore Pro.
Suits me fine to let the data be erased automatically from the card with each download I do. I never changed mine to "don't erase."

The Resmeds store the data in the machine itself, the data card is just a "tool" to transfer the data to the software.
The Respironics data is stored on the data card rather than in the machine. So if you download at home and DO erase the card, the data is NOT on the card for your DME or sleep lab to download for compliance for the insurance company or to monitor your response to therapy and ability to use that data to better "tweak" your pressure(s) or treatment.

I have a follow up question to this topic. I also have my card erased after each download. Being new at this, I have about 20 days of downloads in the "Interaction List". Is there a way to combine some of these into a group, so they can be viewed using a date range? I have checked the help menu for the list, but can't seem to figure this out. I am doing this on a intel mac, so i'm not well versed on windows operations. TIA for any help.
Erasing the card breaks the continuity in the interaction downloads.....they can't be combined......except the data can be with MyEncore or Encore Pro Analyzer......it's just in a different format than Encore Pro.MikeRobert wrote:I have a follow up question to this topic. You would have to print out each report separately from the Interaction List in Encore Pro.
