Resmed Mirage FX leaking through the vent

Hello, it's me again with another newbie question.

I just started with cpap, so I just got my first mask. Following the advice from a very cpap experienced friend I chose Resmed.

The thing is, I got the adjustments set properly (I started a thread here and followed the advice), but I notice some air leaking through the vent where one conects the elbow attached to the machine's pipe.

Is it ok? Is my mask damaged? Incompatible with the equipment I rented (Dreamstar intro evolve)? Did I miss something while setting the mask up?

The vent is expelling exhaled air, containing carbon dioxide.
It is intentional.
