Dreamstation Therapy hours
Dreamstation Therapy hours
Hello, I am new here and have a question about Therapy hours displayed. I am sleeping over eight hours a night with cpap and the display shows times like 1.9 or .07 hours for the 1-day info, when does the counter start over? Thanks
Re: Dreamstation Therapy hours
Do you have more than one sleep session during the night? Meaning do you ever stop and restart the machine?
The machine does do a reset but it happens at noon GMT time.....whatever that relates to in your own time zone. Unless you live in London...it's not noon your time.
Respironics machines all use GMT time as their starting point. There is no clock inside the machine.

Re: Dreamstation Therapy hours
Depending on which model DreamStation you have you might be able to verify or see what the machine is recording as hours of use and why the discrepancy. Otherwise it's a guess as to why it seems so short unless your local time zone is way off from GMT noon.
Example...I am about 6 hours behind GMT so if I had a DreamStation it would think my 6 AM was "noon" and it might cut me off if I slept to 7 AM and only show 1 hour of use for 1 day. In general as long as the total usage for an entire 24 hour period is correct we don't worry about those minor differences for just 1 day. It happens but gets sorted out in the long run and there's nothing we can really do about it anyway. Now if the software itself is just showing short hours in terms of detailed usage then there might be a problem with the machine writing to its internal storage section.
You get detailed data with the DreamStation models DSX400xxx and higher. If your model is the DSX200xxx...I don't believe it is compatible with the software below but you could try it.
