Smart Start

Post by Bright Choice » Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:02 am

I got so used to the Smart Start feature on my Res Med S9. Apparently my new Dream station does not have that. Am I right? I often forget to turn my machine on because of my prior dependence on Smart Start. Is there any work around?

The DreamStation has a similar feature as Smart Start but it is called something else and it's broken down into 2 sections...one for auto on and one for auto off.

They call it
Auto On
and
Auto Off

When Auto On is set to On it will turn on automatically with a few breaths.
When Auto Off is set to On...it will turn off after 60 seconds when it no longer senses breathing.

Both are features in the clinical setup menu area.

Now the Auto On feature...I have heard some people say it takes more then a few breaths to get it to kick in or that it takes some really deep breaths.
