Everyone wearing a mask would essentially solve every problem we are facing. Allows the economy to open up, jobs back, saves money, people can go places, less people getting infected per day, hospitalization rates going down, non-covid patients can be attended to properly. Buys time for better covid-19 treatments and knowledge gained. Mental health improved.

But instead idiots want to open up and also take no precautions at the same time. To the average low IQ person in this country. wearing a mask is an affront to freedom and means you are not manly and are afraid of the china flu.

I certainly don't buy into all the panic and hysteria, but common sense actions should be taken at the same time.

If all of our political leaders would put on a common front and use masks when appearing in public, it would help a lot.

I was very fortunate and took to wearing a mask very easily, unlike a few of my friends who are battling with them for some reason. I wonder if it is because I am used to "masking up" nightly and so having something on my face doesn't bother me as much?
heh. you may have seen pics of me in my scunci rig that i wear along with the p10. plus the firm foam cervical collar. it does the job well and it's second nature to get geared up for bedtime. so wearing a cloth mask during the day is a snap!

but i remember the first week of wearing my cloth mask out and about. i noticed that my jaw had sagged and my lips parted! what an odd feeling. that NEVER happens at night!!

:D Zonker, I have seen the pic of you wearing your scunci and cervical collar, a sight not easily forgotten!

I often feel like saying "try wearing a mask all night for 6 months and not being able to sleep after being diagnosed with OSA" when a few of my friends bitch and moan about wearing a mask for 10 minutes in a grocery store.

Don't get me started on the acquaintance who, when seeing me wearing a mask said "I have to tell you I don't believe in Covid-19".
Just as well I was wearing a mask otherwise I might have sprayed bits of gob all over him as I guffawed. I can't be bothered to get angry, it is just a waste of precious time, I just try to avoid the "unbelievers" …

I was pretty surprised today to read some of the comments on our local newspaper's online site re the proposed issue of making masks mandatory. A lot of people are not happy about this idea. Lots of anger and resentment at being told what to do etc.

I can't fathom why masks have become such a contentious and political issue.

You could look very fashionable and patriotic wearing your collar out and about.

"Believe" is a keyword of the stupid. I don't "believe". I just read and accept science.

Your guffaw was appropriate.

Governor Ducey shut down bars, gyms and tubing on the salt river to stop the spread, many cities have canceled fireworks and other celebrations but one of our reservations somehow decided opening for the 4th would be a good idea.

Home hair cutting tutorials are all over the internet.
Detailed instructions are included with some clippers.
You can experiment--punk, shag, or a mullet.

Adjustable baseball cap; adjusted loose. Worn backward with edge where you want the bangs.
Turn carefully if you don't want a mullet.
Warning--results may not be as expected.

If things keep up like they are, I may end up with a pony tail, again. Prior to having shoulder surgery, my hair was quite long and I wore it in a pony tail for several years. After my shoulder surgery, my arm was immobilized for six weeks and then it took several weeks of therapy before I could get my hand high enough to put my hair in the pony tail, so I had it cut off. Looks like it might just be time to be a long haired hippy, again.

damned hippy! i wouldn't mind going that route, but previous experience shows me that my hair stops growing JUST too short for a pony tail.

i guess now a days, it could be a man bun.

During the hippy movement during the 60s, I was in the military. The day I started my terminal leave, I quit cutting my hair and shaving. By the time I retired 45 days later, I no longer looked like a military man. I kept my hair cut and the beard trimmed for many years. Around 1993 I started to let my hair grow long. It finally got long enough to put in a pony tail after several months and I kept it until 2005. During that time, I never cut my hair, I only trimmed the ends once in a while.
