Trying new masks
I've noticed that sometimes I get really bad dry mouth, even with use of a humidifier. I am currently using the nuance pro nasal pillow, and although I didn't mouth-breathe during my sleep study, I am suspecting that I do on-occasion. I'll probably invest in a chin strap to see if that will help, but I also considered trying out a full face mask. My question is how do you guys go about trying new masks? I'm afraid of getting something that doesn't fit right or is too big/small, and that once I buy it I can't return it, so it can become a pretty expensive trial-and-error experiment pretty quickly. Thanks for all that you do!

If you go to the manufacture's website (or our host website) they have fitting guides that will determine what size you wear. As far as masks, our host' website lists masks on popularity. Know that whatever is popular for me may not work for you. I use the Resmed F20.
You can train your mouth to stay shut at night. Lots of folks here use chinstraps.... see if it works for you. As in a lot of different equipment in the cpap world, it is try and error.

Re: Trying new masks
Do everything you can to make the nasal mask work. I hate using a full face mask. Others are fine with them, and I get that. But the popular nasal masks just have less issues with leaking, sore spots.
From mouth taping to the chin straps find out what works.
I was told I had to use a full face as I was a "mouth breather".
I tried the nasal masks and simply told myself I MUST keep my mouth closed. I keep my tongue sealed to the roof of my mouth. It has become natural. It can be mastered!
