CPAP has gotten much louder

Post by metallikat36 » Wed Apr 24, 2019 1:19 am

I have an AirCurve for less than 1.5 years. It was not this noisy when I got it. Might still be under warranty. It is only the inhale this is freakishly loud wheezing noise. It is a steady noise I would say. Not one I would expect is water were inside the machine or something like that gurgling around. The air filter is not the issue. Nor the hose. Nor mask leaks. Any ideas? Is there anything inside the machine that people have experience with that might need to be fixed? My options seem to be:

1. Look into the warranty. Though I have no backup and don't to ship it back to cpap.com and go sleepless while they (hopefully) fix it.
2. Relocate the machine to under my bed where I will hear the noise less. Though it is sure dusty down there. May clog up my filters sooner. (I just got an A/B filter too. That's not the cause of the noise either. And FYI, I already use white noise to help me sleep.)
3. Unscrew the machine myself and look inside, which will probably void the warranty.

Blower is going. It's going to have to be replaced, it won't get any better.

I believe the standard warranty on the machine is two years. Notify your DME and have them check it out.
