Asking Google feels like asking a machine. People come here to get answers customized specifically for them from other real people.

People don't understand that half of us here on this board are only machines ourselves, just like Google.

Exactly. People want to hear from real live people who are or have gone through what they are dealing with ... well, as live as you can get on the internet. Reading something on Google or finding the exact same question answered on the first page, isn't the same. Some folks are blinded with fright about the thing they are about to sleep with and want to chat with someone. Many times it's more about the, "chat" than the actual question.

I haven't put anyone on my Foe list, although I've sure been tempted. Occasionally, one of my "foes" says something that makes a lot of sense. The others I try desperately to avoid - but sometimes can't. 8) I do find it hilarious when I know damn well I'm on someone's Foe list, and also know they read all of my posts.

It's like common sense ..... there is no such thing. Unfortunate that some posters are unnecessarily unkind. I have noticed some members have hot buttons and go off the rails when one has been touched. Just remember, when a poster is unkind it says more about them than you.

I had noticed before I even posted my first question that more than one person was quite offensive in this group. After I posted a question and had quite egotistical, sexist and just plain jerk comments posted on it...I went looking for the group rules and found no post listing any.

I am curious, is it just a free for all for anyone to treat anyone the way they wish?
soooo.....have we answered your question yet?

I haven't foed anyone since Mr. Alphabet.

But then I again, if I weren't me, I'd probably have me on my foe list.
I know I do ;-)
I had a feeling. :P
Somebody's got to, and I imagine newbies don't know any better ;)

It's a tough job, ignoring you... I admit I'm not as good at it as I should be

In all fairness, maybe you're just bad at finding things... have you tried google? or, even, looking at the bottom of every single page?

I've spent a lifetime trying to ignore me. As for success, I have good days and bad days.

The one thing I know about humanity's group behavior is that it is generally more about principles than rules.

I think I learned that in Trolling 101.

CPAPtalk.com: A loose confederation of mostly-harmless trolls and respected-forum outcasts all serving the common good under the protective hand of a family business and a benevolent queen.

So, "of course," then, is the obvious answer to the OP's thread-title query, as far as I am concerned.

I'm thinkin the biggest "of course" is that you and I must be running neck-and-neck right now on the most-foed-forum-members list.

I guess we can't verify that with a poll, though, since most of the forum would be unable to see it.

I don't foe anyone. It's always interesting to see what kind of dribble they come up with next. I have tried to foe a few people, but my curiosity always got the better of me and I had to look at what they wrote, so now I don't bother to foe anyone.

It’s funny that you would use this phrase.

I mostly use the program TAPATALK on a phone/tablet for my forum browsing. Sometime after an update of the app or the forum software, or the designation of the forum Moderator, there now appears after Pugsy’s name, an image of the queen chess piece.

Regarding the ubiquity of Google as THE answer to all questions: When I was a kid I was told "all roads lead to Rome." … confused about one road nearby, I thought it went to Joplin.
