MyAir "Your device has been removed"

Post by Tracywag » Wed Oct 11, 2017 8:36 am

After waiting a month for my replacement CPAP machine, the Resmed Auto 10 arrived yesterday. I set it up, had a horrid night's sleep, and tried to view the results. Instead, I get an email that reads "The serial number of the machine you had on file with myAir previously had a relationship with a provider. That provider has removed this machine from your account so it has also been removed from your myAir account." What gives? Has anyone else gone through this?

I'm so looking forward to calling my lame ass provider again to try to get a response.

Thanks,
Tired and cranky

THey have not enabled your new one yet. ALl you have to do is have them enable the new one unless you did not get it from that DME then you will have to work through whoever you bought it from.

I was able to register it yesterday, it unregistered over night. I'm going to call my DME, but expect the result of my time and effort will be them claiming to have no knowledge of it.

Are you aware that you can see as much info in the machine display? Do you know how to get into the display's reports?

they just flagged you as a problem customer

they know what is happening
you dont have a clue and start bellyaching

myair is totally useless
forget that account

use the data from the machine
Why on earth you you think anyone flagged the IP as a problem customer? There is no basis for that whatsoever. Why would you insult the OP by saying "you don't have a clue"? Myair is not useful for titrating, but that's not its intent. It is a tool to motivate users to keep using their devices. Three inaccuracies/made up alt facts in one post. I am thinking it's not the OP who does not have a clue.

That's for sure!

xxyzx... why not try the "lotion" that Bleeping Beauty suggested in her recent thread. It might calm you down and your thought processes more rational.

They have not complained yet, that's for today. And most if not all businesses respond to complaints in a way to make issues better, not by firing the customer. You may be an exception based on your social skills demonstrated in internet forums, but that's something I have no way to know, only can suspect.

@Tracywag:
While you are waiting for the activation of your new serial number--a question:
Have you ever used Sleepyhead?
Your desire for feedback could be satisfied--a hundredfold!
I have used it myself, when I had a working Windoze machine.
I miss it, but the computers I like are too expensive for my narrow budget.

My old device died a month ago, it was not registered with ResMed's website. Not sure what someone would have to activate besides me and I did that before it was inactivated. Good to know it's not really worth pursuing. I will just have to check the settings at the machine level.

My sleep doc and insurance filed paperwork within three days, Lincare took a month to replace it. I've used CPAP for ten years, payed very close attention to the numbers until I felt I was getting good results. The locals at Lincare were helpful at first, but year by year all real functionality of the office shifted to a central location, I think in Florida. Now it's nearly impossible to get support. I have an appointment with the local office in person tomorrow.

My S8 was set to 8-12, with very low events. This is set to 10-15, average pressure for last night was 14 and it was blowing the mask off my face. Something is not right and I need to figure it out.

Thanks for the feedback from the sane people,
Tracy

I wonder if something happened with MyAir this morning, because I had the same issue. I'd registered a device last night, double checked the serial number, all was in order. This morning I got the same message the OP did, and nothing synced up. An hour later, the serial number field was blank, I re-entered it, and had sent in a question about the info from last night, wondering if it was lost or whether it would upload. Later, last night's info appeared on my Dashboard as expected. And just in case, I did check not only "my" hours, but machine hours in total, and all was in order, it is a new machine, so it had not been used and linked elsewhere before. Perhaps they had a software glitch, but thankfully the info is now uploaded.

Maybe they decided to stop supporting MyAir on new machines?

Hopefully OP's will be resolved quickly as well. Mine was resolved within a couple hours, it seems. I'm thinking there was a system glitch, but could be wrong. (I can generally live with a glitch when a company resolves it quickly. When it becomes a pattern, however, it's harder. For now I will give them the benefit of the doubt.)
