Well, the machine tracks all the settings changes, and they will check for sure. So if I change anything now I should cancel the study.
Funny thing, too, there was never any titration study
, and the first settings on the machine from when I got it are from way before I even went there.

Maybe the figured the settings didn't kill the last patient, so they would try it on you.... If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.... Re: small rant
Interesting - I have made some changes to mine. My doctor in the last two visits just seems to look at my AHI average and number of hours of actual use. Ask me how I am feeling.. then say to make sure I am keeping to my schedule of replacements for my machine. Not one word about changing my numbers and relief pressures myself. My guess is that would be more of an issue if my AHI was not under 1 on average over time and my use of more than 7 hours a night though...Shnorky wrote:Sorry in advance about the small rant.
Had my first yearly checkup with the doctor.
And got yelled at, for two solid hours, for having changed the settings.
Apparently only doctors are allowed to know how to do that.
(And now the settings are all way off, no more expiration relief (so back to waking up with a bloated, hurting stomach), and last night back to an AHI value of >20)

Now to find a good doctor...
BTW I was using the machine every night as well, although the AHI was hovering around 5 most of the time, with a few nights starting to be between 2-3. Bleh ok rant over.
Thanks again for all the support!
