Help Please-How do you capture screen shot in Sleepyhead?

Post by Haztek » Mon Aug 14, 2017 6:43 am

I know I have seen instructions on how to capture and post screen shots of Sleepyhead data, but can't seem to find them. I would like to post my data from the last two nights because something has changed in my sleep quality and I could use some advise.
Also, which graphs are the most important. Thank you very much.

What are you using to do the screen shots?
The Screen shot process from within the SleepyHead program or some other process (like I use the Windows Snip it program).
If you use SleepyHead I think they all go into a folder in SH but I forget what it is called.
If you use something else then it depends on where you directed it to go. I always put mine on the desktop so I don't have to go digging.

Ok I think I figured it out. Could someone look this screen shot and give me some feedback. Up until 2 days ago, my AHI for the past 483 days was 2.07 Now the past 2 days my quality of sleep had really gone down. My min pressure has been 12 and max 16 for all of those 483 days. It seems like I am snoring more also? One other thing, could the fact that I have some indigestion be affecting my sleep quality this much also.

Thanks, jerry

What is the operating system on your computer?
If using Windows...google Windows Snip It Tool...It's in the Accessories/tools....I use it so often I pinned it to my taskbar.

I am not sure if screen shots are explained by RobySue or not but take a look here.
http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph ... SleepyHead

and maybe here

Whatever you do ....don't do the full size screen thing in SleepyHead. There's a bug in SH where it makes it hard to get out of full size.

Go back to the detailed tab and not the events tab.

But it probably isn't going to show much. Your machine doesn't sense the need to do much. Mainly all you see are the test pressure probes (those saw tooth looking spiky things).

Are you waking often during the night and maybe laying awake with mask on for a time.
I saw some PB flags but no events and it seems like awake breathing can sometimes get flagged as PB.

The snores are VS2 snores and may or may not be all that critical.
See here for some snore information

Anything new or unusual or changed recently???

Yes, I have been laying awake with the mask on with the machine on much more that usual the past 2 nights. The only thing that has changed is my indigestion and when I am drifting off to sleep I wake with a "start" . For some reason, I have had a hard time going to sleep then normal and I think I become anxious.

Fixing apnea events is easy.
Fixing poor sleep or insomnia....can be very difficult because we often don't know why or what is going on.
We would like to blame our poor sleep all on the sleep apnea and expect the machine to fix it but unfortunately there's a long list of culprits we can blame in addition to sleep apnea.

Bad sleep that is caused by sleep apnea the machine can fix fairly easily.
Bad sleep that is caused by something else the machine can't fix no matter how much we might want to put the blame on sleep apnea as being the culprit.

Sleep onset insomnia...that's where we have trouble falling asleep.
Sleep maintenance insomnia...that's where we wake up too many times during the night and we may or may not have trouble going back to sleep with those wake ups.
A mile long list of potential culprits for either.
Some wake ups are normal (like at the end of a REM cycle) but most of the time we just roll over and go back to sleep and not ever remember it. Sometimes we remember a wake up but still go right back to sleep.

Clock watching and worrying about any wake ups...can make things worse because it creates anxiety.

Take a hard look at your sleep hygiene to see if you are maybe bad in a couple of areas.
Also take a hard look at other potential issues....like the indigestion.

As far as your software report. I don't see anything there just standing up screaming "fix me and you will sleep better".
I wish I did because that would be something easy to try and fix.

Thank you Pugsy for your advice. Yes, I will work on my indigestion and my sleep hygiene. First thing I will do is to hide the clock!!
