resmed escape error messages
resmed escape error messages
Have had a Res-Med Escape for 5 years but yesterday it wouid not turn on but displayed this error message: Attention: Check ResMed 30/90W Power Supply Unit and fully insert connector.
Re: resmed escape error messages
It sounds like a connection problem or power supply problem. Unplug and try in another outlet, making sure all connections are secure. If that doesn't work my guess is the Power Supply. If you happen to have the 12V battery connector for your machine you could try that.johnrdoser wrote:Have had a Res-Med Escape for 5 years but yesterday it wouid not turn on but displayed this error message: Attention: Check ResMed 30/90W Power Supply Unit and fully insert connector.

Re: resmed escape error messages
I have the S9 escape and so glad to be getting a new machine soon. Had for over 5 years and so glad it has been a good machine as far as doing what it is made to do but will be so nice to have something with full data.
To your question I would say something with the connector on the back. My machine has sat in the same place for 99.9% of it's life and not been moved around much so the connector has been moved so little. If yours has been in a spot where the connector gets moved around even just a little, over 5 years it can wear out

Re: resmed escape error messages
Got the message "Check ResMed 30/90W Power Supply Unit and fully insert connector" upon switching my S9 up.
Replaced the power supply with my spare one and inserted the conector fully into the connector at he back, to no avail.
Maybe it is a problem with the 3.2 V control line? does anyone have a circuit diagram of the S9 or has anyone solved that problem?
thanks for any help

Re: resmed escape error messages
This is why I have a backup S9 and my old S8. If I get any messages, I unplug everything, let sit for a few minutes and replug everything. I have had to replace my surge protector. I also have a power outage alarm plugged into the surge protector. I have never had power supply probs.solecava wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 8:34 pmGot the message "Check ResMed 30/90W Power Supply Unit and fully insert connector" upon switching my S9 up.

Re: resmed escape error messages
Solecava, how old is YOUR machine?
The OP's was 5 years old (replacement within reason) and over a year ago.
They do wear out--if it is an Escape, the sooner, the better.

Re: resmed escape error messages
try separating the humidifier from the machine and plugging it in. That worked for me. I finally was able to put it all back together and it worked. I think some water may have spilled into unit. not sure.
