No dreams recall

Hi again another weird thing here

I would like to know if you stopped remembering dreams after starting to use the CPAP.

Before been diagnosed I used to make kind of unease dreams almost each night, for long time; that was so boring I hope not been able to dream at all

Then when I started using the machine I stopped dreaming (remembering). Today it happens I dream something, I wake up and then I fell asleep again and the I can't remember much of the small dream I had. This dreaming happens very rare.

If you are low on B-12 you may not recall your dreams. Taking a B-vitamin combo, or just B-12 may help you remember your dreams.

After my daughter died I had horrible dreams. I prayed that I would stop dreaming and I did. I did have a dream over a year ago about fishing in a minnow bucket. I doubt that I have had a half dozen dreams in over thirty years.

Stormy, I think I'm sleeping very deep now. In my dreams before cpap I was always running or in all kind of unease situations I was really tired of that. Then when I started to get a good treatment I was almost unable to wake up with the alarm for at least 6 months . I remember I hear a noise very far and I was so asleep I had difficulty to lift my arm to reach the alarm and put it off

Now it is ok but I'm just stating to dream now again and it's kind of once each 1 or 2 months and even if I tell to myself I need to remember when I wake up again (because I fell asleep after having woke up) I finish not remembering enough to be able to tell what was the subject

I need to tell I go to bed only when I'm very tired, I need to change that.

Before cpap, my dreams were frequent, vivid, and disturbing.
Impossible tasks, frantic running, climbing or searching.
Zombie kittens that had to be killed with a pickaxe, my grandson drowning.
I do not miss the excitement. One bit.
If I am bored, I read a Clive Cussler novel.

The issue is dreaming and recalling dreams by OSA SUFFERERS and not only by normal people.

Another study: The study found that 71.4 percent of people who did not have obstructive sleep apnea recalled their dreams, while only 43.2 percent of patients with mild obstructive sleep apnea were able to do the same.

Chunky, your description fits very well the kind or dreams I had for a whole year before cpap, then it subsided and then I was diagnosed. But one difference is I never had zombie kittens

Hey Avi, for sure we are talking about osa sufferers, not normal people. What normal people dream is not of importance to me, I know I'm not normal no problem with that.

I remember reading or hearing somewhere that either we have a tendency to dream toward the end of a sleep cycle (i.e. just before waking), and/or that we tend to remember dreams that we have as we wake. I don't remember if this was somebody's theory or based on scientific studies. Assuming it's true, my unsubstantiated theory is that people who remember several sets of dreams in a night are waking frequently-- some of us who suffer from sleep apnea wake a lot, and maybe that leads some of us to remember lots of dreams. Maybe once we're sleeping more restfully and waking less we just don't remember as many dreams.

Could be complete bunk...

I had dreams before CPAP and I have them now. Usually their contents quickly fade after awaking, which is a shame, because the other night I dreampt I had something going on with Suzanne Somers I don't know why. I've never really given her much thought. Usually (and quite often), I have the common dream of being back in school, where I didn't complete an assignment

School evoked some of my weirdest dreams.
---some too weird to even repeat here.

In my dreams I was falling in the water very often, fyi I can't swim.

I think the theory of sleeping more restfully from of_the_west makes sense to me. Most of the time I don't even wake up until the morning. Lately I have been waking up (I think because of my back) and it is when I notice I had a dream but then I fall asleep again and when finally is time to wake up I can't remember even the subject let aside the details. In my case I stopped dreaming and has never really come back.
