i changed the air pressure from 10 to 8

hi..i just started using a cpap ....my prescription is for 10 for airpressure..i just changed it to 8 myself because i could not breath out very well.....will changing to 8 make any real difference? if so, how?

It is hard to say without seeing data from your machine.
Please let us know the EXACT model and make of your Cpap,
along with your test results--your titration in particular.

Lowering the pressure may or may not make a difference, but ie probably not the preferred choice for dealing with breathing out against the pressure. Moat people adjust in a while. But after you list the specifics of your equipment someone can guide you regarding a possible option for exhale relief that does not lower your prescribed pressure on inhale. Also, monitoring data (if your machine is one that reports the information) can tell you if lowering your pressure has adversely affected your treatment.

if you need more than 8 cm pressure to keep from having apnea events, then you'll have more with that change.

Depending on your machine, you'll have an exhalation relief feature, either called EPR or c/a-flex, and you can adjust the level of that in your machine, but it can cause your AHI to go up a very little bit, not necessarily meaningful, but be prepared and adjust to balance.

You give us almost no information to go on. If you were prescribed a pressure of 10 then you probably need at least that much. Are you using exhalation relief? If not, why not? If so, how much?

There are lots of things to be done before messing with the pressure without a damned good reason. Start by filling in your profile with all your equipment and then posting some sleepyhead screenshots.
