Air Sense 10 Clicking noise

Post by aa737 » Wed Jun 29, 2016 11:49 am

I have had my Air Sense 10 for one year....it just started making a clicking noise (in the unit...not the hose or mask) in the early morning after a full nights sleep . Apria gave me a new unit and after last night (its first use) the "clicking" is WORST than my old unit. I have read the humidifier tank connection may be the problem and will use a bit more force installing the tank tonight. But when Apria inspected the old unit they mentioned the two soft connectors on the unit that seal to the tank seemed a bit "distorted". Has any one been able to solve the "clicking" problem in the Air Sense 10 ? Other than the clicking, I love this unit.

Chances are, there was nothing wrong with your previous unit. Could have been a couple of things. One could be that there was too much "rainout" (water vapor condensing back into liquid) in the hose and the air was having problems getting through. There may be another reason, but it's not indicative of something wrong with the unit. You need to figure out where the noise is coming from.

Defiantly Not Rainout...in early moring.... switch to spare (dry) hose & mask ...still get click. The only forum post that seems pertinent mentions the tank seal fit.

After two nights....upon early AM wakeing with "clicking" noise......removing the reinserting water tank seems to solve the problem....for a while.

Every once in a while, my AirSense makes an annoying whining sound when I first start using it. I always have to reposition the water tank to get it to stop. It might be a design issue that needs to be reconsidered...who knows...
Given enough sleep....I could rule the world.
