Slightly OT. where can I find a great firm pillow

Post by Jake00 » Sat Apr 09, 2016 8:35 pm

Everyone is here for sleep issues... I like a firm pillow, but every one I've bought goes flat after a few weeks. Any suggestions?

I really like my buckwheat hull/shredded foam pillow.
The quilted shell is zippered to allow me to adjust the fill to fit my size and taste.
I have had mine since June, 2015, and have not added any material back yet.
The pillow comes quite overfilled, and I removed almost half (for later).

Go up to the Search line and put in "buckwheat" and "Chiroflow" and you will find quite a few discussions about bed pillows.

I like this pillow from CPAPtalk member sleepguy:

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

It's funny this has came up again, for years I have been buying new pillows. It seem in a few weeks they are just as bad as my old ones.

My power went out last week for two days I spent a night in the recliner, no sleep, next night I went to my daughters, she had this pillow on her bed, SEALY HALF AND HALF STANDARD SIZE, I fell in love with it, it's firm, I moved around a lot less and slept better. Downside wasn't cheap about $ 30, but I have paid that in replacements in the last year.

Now if I had a firm mattress to match. Hers was perfect too, firm, felt the same as the pillow. Jim

I use the Contour Cpap pillow. I purchased it at cpap.com. It's a memory foam piller with cut-outs for the mask when sleeping on my side. I also tried the buckwheat piller. It took a while to get used to and seems to be very popular here. It was too hard for me. I got some rocks in the backyard that are softer to sleep on.

I made the mistake of buying these awful Mypillows. They are terrible for my CPAP masks - too fluffy and really lumpy! My husband does not like his either. What a rip-off those pillows are,
