encore pro software interpretation

Post by loonlvr » Fri Jan 28, 2005 8:11 pm

Well, I got my new machine and downloaded the result from the encore Pro software. Now the question is, how do i interpret them? Is there a internet site that shows what each graph means or what to look for? I think rested gal posted some graphs before. Feel free to e mail me if you would like. Thanx

Loonlvr,

GREAT QUESTION!

As far as I know there is no place to go to learn how to interpret this data. I assume, since us plain ol' users are not suppose to be using the software, the manufacturers keep this info between themselves and the DME/RTs. This particular question was one of my suggestions to post on this site Topic: Which cpaptalk.com Upgrade Would You Most Like To See?

To answer your question though, basically:

Is your AHI less than 5? preferably 1+/-

Is your 95 percentile pressure similar to your PSG titrated pressure?

Are your leaks low? or at least below the max line.

Beyond that, unless you are not sleeping well or you don't feel rested in the morning that should be all you need to know.
Sincerely,
wading thru the muck of the sleep study/DME/Insurance money pit!

Great question and even better answer - thanks Wader

I've got the software on order and am looking forward to seeing the data.

Loonlvr - the post from rested gal showing the graph is at:
