you need to check with the manufacturer but sometimes all you need is a different cord

if you know which manufacturer check their webpages for your answer

Most power supplies these days are capable of running in a universal 120-240v A/C range..

My Philips Respironics for instance came from the states with a US plug, and works fine with a standard "figure 8" cable..
Intellipap's also have a universal supply (though I think it's integrated into the machine). just needs a different plug..

You just need a plug adaptator to run it in OZ, cpap accept 100-240, even run on the 400hz in plane ( at least the resmed)
You re safe
I recommend buying a new in the box from scondwindcpap, awesome & only $65 postage

Another option is to buy the specific plug adapter you need. Magellan's is a travel specific website that has long catered to the traveling public. Most machines accept any voltage. Do check with your manufacturer ... they all have toll free numbers ... check the "contact us" information on their website. If your machine accepts any voltage, then just by the appropriate adapter:

Magellan's Plug Adapters:

Magellan's Ungrounded Plug Adapter for OZ:

Magellan's Grounded Plug Adapter for OZ:

Magellan's offers an Electrical Guide for travellers:

Magellan's also offers an Electrical Connection Wizard:

Due to the travel requirements I had when I worked, I purchased a World Grounding Adapter Plug Set:
http://www.magellans.com/store/Adaptors ... ptorsEA291

The advantage of Magellan's is you can purchase only what you need in the way of adapters. It's quick, easy and inexpensive.

By the way, I have no interest in Magellan's other than as a happy customer.

Hope that helps.

Check the power brick that goes with your machine. If it says "110 to 240 volts" then all you need is the correct plug adapter, which only costs a couple of dollars.

If the brick says "110-120 v" or thereabouts, then you need the plug adapter plus a transformer to step the voltage up or down.

I travel internationally a lot for work, and use this rule for all my electronic devices including my cpap machine - has never steered me wrong.

(The instruction manual should also have this info, but it's usually quicker to look at the brick . )

G'day Sunshine,
I've recently bought a Resmed VPAP S which although made in Australia, came from the US. The supplier provided it with both a US and Australian power cords, the power supply outputs 24vDC from an input of 100 to 240vac, 50-60Hz. Most appliances these days cater for different supply voltages. The worst case scenario would be having to source a power supply locally that had the same output that the machine requires, you'd have to have the right connector for the machine though.
Cheers,

Mick.
