S9 Elite Newbie....Help?

Post by SnoozyQ » Fri Nov 05, 2010 5:44 am

So I got to look on the data on the card....the graphs, etc. What do I do with this info? I seem to have high readings on the leak chart, AHIs are from .5-3 per hour....

I'm also concerned that it's not recording accurate usage. From the reccomendation of a member here (thanks robysue!) I set it back to read one day at a time. I checked it this morning at 6:10 and it said usage was 6.4 hours. I went to bed at 10:30 and put it right on and I don't take it off.

Thanks

Hi,

The AHI number is probably the best overall indicator of how things are working, but that number can be inaccurate or meaningless if you have a high rate of leak. Leaks are a little harder to give a rule of thumb for on the S9 since the ResMed machines attempt to subtract out the normal rate of mask leak, but that means that the machine needs to know about your mask, and it has to be set to the right mask type.

Best thing to do might be to post your detail level graphs here in the forum.

I don't know what is up with the usage number. It might be that there was a glitch from making the change that you note above. Try it again tonight and see what it does. It would also be interesting to compare the usage numbers on the graphs for the past few days and see if all are incorrect, or just one is wrong.
