How often should you be retested?
How often should you be retested?
How often should a person have a titration? I went 10 yrs after recieving my bipap machine, and the second titration came up with the exact same settings as the first. My GP said I should have a titration every 2 yrs.Is thsi correct?
Re: How often should you be retested?
Never if you use a machine that collects full data, and have the software and other equiptment to monitor your treatment. The only need to see the Doctor would be if you are having problems with Sleep Apnea that you can't correct on your own. Jim
Use data to optimize your xPAP treatment!

I agree with Jim. Assuming no new problems have presented themselves and that therapy is going well, what would be learned in a sleep study that can't be learned with data from the machine? Can't see the need to spend that money or have that awesome experience...

I, too, agree with Jim. The only thing I could add would be to purchase a recording Oximeter with software with the money you'd spend on another sleep study.
You can do your own sleep study every night if you want to do so....and your own results will probably be more accurate than if you're in a strange bed trying to sleep in a nest of wires.
