By dose! Id is addoying be!

Post by bart.willems » Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:02 pm

For the third or fourth day in a row. All day long my nose is just fine. And now when bed time is approaching the damn thing clogs completely up. Hrrrraaaaaaa!!!

Sorry, I just had to vent.

Try Afrin spray for occasional congestion. I also use generic flonase for allergies. Some days Iuse none, some days both.

I also use saline spray to help clear my nose. This also happens to me, so you are not alone. I use Afrin as a last resort, since I have been addicted to Afrin in the past, and the rebound when you are trying to kick that habit is NO FUN with CPAP.

No kidding about the Afrin! I'm in the midst of using it once daily. This happens once a year--in the winter. Then my allergist prescribes Astelin spray, which actually fixes the problem with my nose, temporarily. I recently got a full face mask to use when I'm congested. But I'm finding I don't breathe through my mouth, only my nose.

Dear Bart,

Cute Subject Line! Sorry you are having congestion - that is no fun at all. I use Flonase daily and when I am congested, I have a prescription for Astepro - a nasal spray with some antihistimine in it. I also use an AYR saline nasal rince.

Best regards,

Jersey Girl

Bart, I get exactly the same thing. Not sure if it's the onset of becoming tired but I do like a nice cold drink before going to bed and that sometimes makes it worse.

The best thing I've found if you always use a Humidifier on your is a drop or two of Olbas Oil or some other menthal into the water in your Humidifier. That really helps when trying to get off to sleep.
