Hey everyone,
Does anyone know what the symptoms are when your machine is set up to too much air pressure?
Thanks,
zalez
what are symptoms of to much Air Pressure?
Re: what are symptoms of to much Air Pressure?
Zales....didn't you post just a little while ago? viewtopic/t42368/Where-am-i-going-wrong.html
People, with different levels of experience, jump on at different times. While you are waiting for a response, why don't you register for an account and fill out the equipment profile so we can help you better. (it's FREE)
Also, in my opinion, the way your question is worded, people are going to be intimidated in answering because most of us aren't doctors and aren't able to diagnose symptoms and/or conditions and merely provide advice. If you are concerned that your pressure is too high, I would recommend speaking with your doctor as high pressure is generally associated with Central Sleep Apneas. You can find more about it by searching the forum via the link at the top.
Best of Luck to you.

Wide open question but here are some responses ...
> The mask will squeak leak & spoil your therapy
> you will end up swallowing some air depending on type of mask & if you are a natural mouth breather
> you may feel slightly 'hyper' for a while
But, that aside. Most people can handle the pressure these machines deliver but many take a while (sometimes months) to get used to it all.
It is intrusive & and feels very strange.
Sleep labs rarely set the pressure too high (unless like in my case the mess up transcribing the pressure & turn 13 into 15).
Some times what feels high needs to be left high else your therapy can fail due to a lack of adequate pressure.

dsm's symptoms list is a list of symptoms to high pressure, not necessarily pressure which it too high for the user.

Please fill up your profile.
Are you american?
I was curious, because I'm a finn and here most apnea-patients use machines from the
sleep policlinic. They lend the machines for years and for free.
In this case you can't just go and get a better machine.
