Stupid machine noise

Post by moombeam » Fri Mar 06, 2009 1:18 am

.Coping with APAP
My remedy for the intolerable noise of the machine was to purchase a stereo
foam cooler, cut it to size, punch in air holes. Set my machine on an inverted wooden lid about 4 inches off the carpet inside the cooler and cover the open top of the cooler with a pillow.
It is now a tolerable noise I can go to sleep and stay that way.
I am day dreaming about something more silent and nicer looking.
Maybe the wooden box with carpet lining I read about on this forum.
.
The machine noise being taken care of I could work on the other issues that come with CPAP.

The breathing, leaks and pressures.
Learning to adjust is to changes is a part of life.
So life goes on,on,on,and on like the every ready bunny.

WOW I am sorry things seem hard for you. The noise puts me to sleep and after I quit washing my equipment to death the leaks were very manageable. I treated myself because of the time and cost and using the machine was a matter of life and death I felt so I was thankful I was able to find a nice new like used complete set up on Ebay for a few hundred dollars.

I management its use in my sleep it seems now because I often never wake for 6-8 hours.

Best of luck as you go forward.
