Newer versions of Encore Pro use encoreproex rather than encorepro. EPA attempts to read the Encore Pro database name from the registery and connect to that. Did you happen to have an older version of EP installed on this machine in the past?

Unfortunatly I am away from home right (recovering from surgery) and can't look at the EPA source to tell you where that registery setting is...

The registry key is at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Respironics\Encore Pro

Now if only I could find a newer version than 1.8.49! Anyone?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Respironics\Encore Pro

I went there and find wehre I can change it to look at Encorepro and delte the EX.

Then My encore pro doesn't connect.

The SQL server is named ENCOREPROEX, how would i change that?

Question is why would you want to change it?

You shouldn't be changing registry settings. As you discovered Ecnore Pro will not work if you do so.
We need to find out why EPA is not reading that setting correctly. Unfortunately I am currently away
from home and can't get at the source code to try and figure out what might be going wrong.

I would not recommend that you do that. There is nothing wrong with that database name. We need to figure out why EPA is not figuring out the correct DB.

You by any chance playing with the program "My Encore", if you are it doesn't work with modern versions of Encore Pro. Just trying to confirm what you are trying to use, unless you are careful programs can be called any name. Jim

What has happend the version of Encore Pro I have 1.8.49 installs the SQL server as Encoreproex. (I cannot change during install the ex or delete the ex from the end of encorepro)

So when I open Encore Pro it works fine and connects to the EncoreproEX server.

When I install Encore Analyser (The one that was e-mailed to me which isn't supposed to be MyEncore.)

WHen I click on Encore ANalyser it comes up and says cannot find Encorepro. Its looking for encorepro SQL Server, but Encore Pro installed it as Encoreproex.

Hope this helps.

I know you figured your problem out already, but for others that may be having problems. If you're using Vista, don't forget to set the box to "Run this program as an Administrator" in the properties of EncoreProAnalyzer.exe. If you don't, you get the same error that Chris was getting.

Hi James, I'm a new Bipap AutoSV owner, as of two days ago. Is your Encore Pro Analyser still available? I requested a download through your webpage - when I didn't get a reply, I tried another email address as instructed but still no reply. Help please, it looks like a great tool!

Thanks, Paul.

Welcome to the forum Paul.

Try this link to get Analyzer. I don't think the email thing works. It didn't for me either.

This is where I got Analyzer.
