Is a basic machine best, or merely adequate?

How I wish I'd known a year ago what I know now!!!!
Me too. I quit therapy for 4 years. Knowing now what I've learned here would've saved me a heart attack, diabetes, 20 extra lbs, depression, fatigue and $$$ on unnecessasy and ineffective Rx's and treatments.

I had a basic machine for years (see my Backup below). It wasn't the technology of the machine that caused my problems - giving it up did. If you feel like giving up - come back here and browse around. It should help give you the inspiration, education - yes and fear - that you need to continue on with your treatment. I don't mean to sound like AA or anything, but this is life-or-death, too.

Tomorrow I tangle with the neurologist over my AHI of nearly 40.

Settings: CPAP 7cm, Ramp 10min @ 4cm, heated humidity, AHI=39
  1. Main unit: ResMed S8 Elite, ResMed Humidaire 3i
  2. Backup: ResMed S6 Lightweight
