DME chain of ?

Okay, so I go to pick up my CPAP machine that they had to special order (Remstar M Series Pro). I get there and the RT is upacking it to set it up. Well, it is not a MSeries Pro, it is a BiPap Mseries Auto. Whoa! My insurance will not cover that! She realizes that it is the wrong machine and figured she just picked up the wrong one. She goes to the wharehouse, no M Series Pro. She and I unpack 3 boxes from Respironics. All 12 machines were M Series Plus! From what I gather, I spoke with the office manager who spoke to the person who ordered the machine, who then called the RT and said it was in. Too many in the mix if you ask me. It is now correctly ( I hope) ordered and I should get it by Thursday at the latest. I have the M Series Plus to use until then. The visit wasn't a total waste as I did exchange my mask. By going there the RT could show me however many masks I wanted. I tried on about 5 and nixed a few others before trying them on. I will be trying the Comfortgel tonight as all the other ones(in there smallest size) were too big ( Explain that? I have a 4E wide foot since being a teen and am way overweight. I am not used to things being too big!)
I believe that, after seeing all the M Series Plus and by the fact that they rarely special order, those of us who come to these forums are in the minority. Most OSA patients do not follow there own data and just accept the minimum machine. I guess I don't understand. This is my life and I want to know all that I can about my treatment. Thanks to all here for all the information and support!

For some people, having a straight CPAP works just fine and with regards to stats, if they get a good night's sleep and feel good the next day then who cares about AHI's etc.

It's a personal thing.
