Return of EDS>>>argggh

Post by VikingGnome » Sun Jan 26, 2014 9:42 pm

Excessive Daytime Sleepiness has returned with a vengeance. Checked my data and am a bit confused about what is causing my sleepiness. My AHI has been 0.7-1.4. Leaks are minimal if any. But I have significant SNORING (to highest level) and excessive of Flow Limitations. I sleep an average of 8.5 hours on VPAP at 20/16. Could my sleepiness be due to RERAs as my AHIs are good. I'm thinking of upping my pressure to 21/17 to see if there is any improvement. Any advice.

Yes, could be.

That's what I would try first.

Any chance something has changed like sleeping position?
Really wouldn't matter to me even it if had (it were me)... I prefer to let the machine do it's job unless there is a huge difference in pressure needs with sleeping positions.

The humidity in my house is very low--down to 15 and my nose tends to be more stuffy. But my humidifier should be taking care of that. The snoring in my FF mask suggests that I am doing more mouth breathing because of my stuffy nose. I thinking about trying Simply Saline before going to bed to try clearing my nose a bit.

Higher pressure should help with the snoring. With so many flow limitations, I think upping pressure should reduce those as well.
