Help Oh Please Help
Help Oh Please Help
I am a newbie on medicare. All the local suppliers of cpaps who accept medicare seem to be sleezy or shady. Is there any place on line that will accept medicare and actually answer questions, instead saying all the information that I am asking for, such as how to program my own machine, and does the machine come with an efficacy program is a trade secret?
Re: Help Oh Please Help
I don't know what you mean by an 'efficacy program', but if you go to Apneaboard.com, way down on the page, you should find a whole lot of manuals available for download... however it's important that you have the exact name and model # of your machine as many are similar (and some machines aren't worth programming as they don't give data beyond 'compliance'). What machine (and mask) are you using?
Re: Help Oh Please Help
As you get started into therapy the biggest questions to get answered are what specific machine will be offered. Will my insurance buy it outright or is rental necessary. What are my costs going to be. How does your mask policy work, can I exchange masks that are not for me.
Programming the machine and other setup modifications are something you will learn over time. But you have to get past the period of time where your rovider monitors you.

Re: Help Oh Please Help
you can ask questions right here. there are many knowledgeable people on this forum. as far as finding a local DME that is not sleazy that accepts medicare, guess all you can do is call medicare and see if there are other options.
