Oops! I didn't mean to hijack an extremely important thread in mollete's excellent CPAP Basics series.
So, I'm putting what I wrote here, as an OT subject (an

The V2 is a convenient size e-cig, from what I've read on the

Here are the two I use:

I was realizing this at about the same time. I went to delete my post but Dori had already responded to it, so I can't. I was looking for a way to PM you but it looks like you've disabled that
I was about to say thanks for the link to the E-cigarette forum. I didn't know there was such a thing.
Blessings,
Kate

Hi deerslayer Good to see you, longtime friend.
No, the ones I use don't light up at the end. You're probably thinking about the "Blu" e-cig.
Mine are both much larger (larger batteries) than the usual e-cigs that are at convenience stores and gas stations. Mine last a day or two between charges, and can have "tanks" or "clearomizers" attached to the top to hold more e-liquid than a cartridge alone does. So...the "juice", in both senses of the word..battery/e-juice... let me use it for a day or more before needing to recharge/refill.
I get my flavored e-juices from The Plume Room and Alice In Vapeland. I order a fairly low nicotine content. It's mainly the hand-to-mouth habit and seeing vapor plumes from using an e-cig that handle any "smoking" cravings fine for me.

It occurred to both of us at the same time, Kate! gmta
It was my fault. There was no harm done by you! Both of us would just rather not do that to a chapter of mollete's valuable resource for our fellow-cpap'ers, so here we are (where we belong ) in a more appropriate OT thing now.
Yes, I turned PMs off several months ago, when I got extra busy IRL and wasn't checking in at cpaptalk as often as in the past.
In addition to the e-cig forum (posts by baditude helped me the most), I dug into youtube videos by pbusardo and grimmgreen when I was researching what e-cigs to buy.

Yes, the V2 does light up blue like some others. LMAO! That's hysterical! I have to say I have never tried smoking - real or vapor while riding. When I smoked, I figured I'd end up with a cherry in my eyes. I always sort of cracked up when I watched the opening sequence of Sons of Anarchy because I thought it was impossible to smoke while riding that fast til a friend proved it to me, but they also proved if you're not careful, you WILL get the cherry in your face!

My mom the lifelong smoker is still in the rehab home 2 weeks out post op having the bottom lobe of her left lung removed. Three months ago, it was a section of the right lung. Two cancers in one lung and one in the second. Thankfully caught extremely early and no spread to the lymph nodes. But who knows if or when it will come back.
Anything you can do to stop smoking, smoking anything, do it. Its just not worth it. Not to mention it ruins your house and no one will want to buy it. It is going to cost me thousands in repainting and cleaning to fix their house to marketable condition. We have a rental ozone machine running for the next few days in the house and no guarantee that will even be enough to work.
Quit while you still can.

Hyperlexis, I am sorry to hear of your mother's illness. We actually have all quit smoking. We are discussing e-cigs that provide flavored water vapor with or without some nicotine.

Welcome back, Rested Gal! You've been away a long time (or have you been lurking?). Good to see you and congrats on quitting smoking for good!

Out of curiosity a few months ago (I haven't smoked for 25 years), I ordered freebee or low cost starter kits from four ecig mfrs. The best one imo was
http://vapor-corp.com. You get the full nicotine fix if you want it OR whatever reduced amount you choose WITHOUT all the tars, additives, other carcinogens, ash and smell. You can even get zero-nicotine cartridges if you have progressively weaned down all the way as a last step to quitting the hand-to-mouth and oral part of the habit. Makes much more sense I think than smoking tobacco if you must smoke.
