In December I paid $8 for two prescriptions. Today $250! Pharmacist explanation.... Thank the President and Obamacare. Thank you Mr. President!

And Obamacare is also responsible for RG3's knee injury and for Mike Shanahan potentially ruining his career.

Obamacare is also responsible for my chocolate addiction and for my inability to stay asleep on the apap machine.

When in doubt, blame Obamacare.

Absolutely meaningless without information about new year deductible and copays, and the prescriptions. More than likely the two in December were very low cost generic drugs and the one in Jan a brand name drug. In the case of a brand name drug and the insurance plan $250 may be a bargain!

If this person has a deductible in their prescription drug plan and their "plan year" begins on January 1st, that might explain it.

It may simply have been a case of the new year/new deductible for brand-name drugs. I filled two inhaler prescriptions on December 21 and since they were brand-name and I hadn't met my $250 deductible, I paid $180 for them. Darn it that it was ten days till the end of the benefit year! Had I already used the deductible previously, then the prescriptions would have been $30 each. Nothing to do with health care reform.

Yeah! I WELL remember the first year that we had an annual deductable!!! That was a shocker! Say what? What's an annual deductable? Other people have annual deductables! We've never had annual deductables!! Yeah, right. Surprise. Welcome to the new world of health insurances. Such a sheltered life I've led.
