adjusting pressure
Re: adjusting pressure
Welcome to the Forums
No, it's not 100% safe if you don't fully understand the methodology of how to do it safely and effectively, you can make your Sleep Disorder worse without knowing it and stay that way for a long time using the wrong settings.
Your best bet if you wish to get good and complete answers is to go into your User Control Panel on the forums here and edit your profile to show all your Medical Equipment. Then post your Sleep study titrated pressure, how long you have been using the equipment, and a short story on how your treatment has gone so far and how you feel or what your currently experiencing.

Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.

Re: adjusting pressure
Hmm the above statement can also mean that since a person doesn't always get a good nights sleep...that the "doesn't always" has a hidden meaning that means there are some night were good nights of sleep occur. We don't go changing pressures unless we have real specific scientific reason and we are working toward a specific goal.dustmaker wrote:I dont always get a good

It is best to thoroughly investigate what is happen now to see why or if changes need to be made.
Gut reaction is to increase pressure but there are time when increasing pressures without having a well thought out plan beforehand...is not the way to go.
We need software reports to see if there is anything standing that blatantly needs work and then decide a plan of action. We need to no the specific reason as to why things might work sometimes and maybe not work other times.
So tell us your machine name and model along with which mask you are using and any problems you are having with mask or machine.
We need to know the pressure settings,,,any exhale relief settings.
Hopefully you machine will have full data available to look at.
So which machine are you using? Mask? and then we work on figuring out if you even have a machine that will offer data.
It is much better to have a well though plan and understanding what you are expecting or wanting to see before we go changing things willy nilly.
