you probably can't by yourself if he's strong willed. insist on him going to the doctor and telling the doctor that he's not using the cpap because no mask works. the doc will take it from there. if he has a straight pressure cpap, an automatic (apap) will probably help him. after being non-compliant because of masks for a long time, a trip to the ER convinced me that this is not nice to have equipment. it is life saving equipment.

Well not to be mean, but it depends on how much he loves you. I was stubborn for a long time too and it was my GF at the time that got me to use it. She made it abundantly clear that if I didn't treat my severe OSA she was
A. Afraid she was going to wake up with me dead next to her.
B. Had Nightmares about it.
And lastly
C. That if I didn't we were done, IE break up and I would have to get out of her life so she wouldn't have to see me slowly die.
Her fears and concerns along with how adamant she was made me change and find a way to get the machine to work. Once IT DID work and cured a few of my nightly annoyances like having 5-8 bathroom trips a night I was hooked and then I continued on my own without her prompting. Good Luck with it. I hope it all works out.

Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.

I like this suggestion. If he won't use the machine and the snoring is bothering you move to another bedroom. Maybe that will make an impression on him. Also, not to be mean, but to be blunt, tell him to grow a set, grow up, and take care of himself and his family.

Have him Google apnea and erectile dysfunction.
Wouldn't hurt to talk dirrrty to him.

Tough Love. Make him move into another room to sleep.
Insist that your wills, life insurance, etc. are all up to date and maximized.
Advanced funeral planning.
If he were a mature adult and really loved you he would use the CPAP.

Make him pick what kind of adult diapers he wants after the stroke.
