Hay Fever = High AHI?

Post by Kody » Thu Feb 23, 2012 1:00 pm

Spring has sprung early in Northern CA and so has my Hay Fever. Have been sneezing and congested the last week, and noticed my AHI about doubled from around 6. to 12. Was not on the hose last year at this time, so I have nothing to compare it to. So for those of you that get allergies does that raise your AHI's? Thanks in advance.

Clearly, if you are congested, you can't breathe well... awake or sleeping! I'd suggest nasal rinses twice a day to clear the pollen out of your nasal passages. Use a neti pot, or as I do... the Grossan Hydro Pulse http://amzn.com/B0012VNZ1W with either a saline rinse solution, or you could try Alkolol http://amzn.com/B000GCKCU0 added to your distilled water. If you take an allergy medicine, remember they usually contain anti-histamines which can dry you out a lot.

I am sure lots of others will be by soon to give you their allergy remedies..... I hope you can find one that works for you. I will tell you, that in FL, where I am... the pollen season is in full swing, and this year, I am not in as much distress as I usually am by this time. I do think that once you are sleeping well, some health issues do simmer down a bit. I hope the same happens for you
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
