On the right road after 5 months???

Post by macewa » Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:58 am

OMG, it looks like we are on the right track. Great night sleep. But more importantly look at my numbers!: hypopnea 0.92, Obstructive Apnea 2.60, Clear Airway Apnea 1.23, RERAResp 0.00, Flow Limitation 2.60, Vibratory Snore 0.00, PB/CSRPeriodic Breathing 3.03% I still don't know what Flow Liitation is. Maybe someone answered my quesion. Will go look.

I think we are on to something! Finally after five months, we're looking like we are on the right track! I'm still groggy because the alarm woke me up as I have to go volunteer this morning or I would have slept longer- The GREAT news is that my face mask is comfortble so my nose doen't hurt! I am really excited. Of course, this is just one morning, let's see what tomorrow brings. The first part is on my chart is where I was awake. I had gone to bed because I could not stay awake, but once I made preparations (getting things set up) I could not go to sleep and was wide awake the whole time. The second part was where again I could not stay awake and this time fell asleep very quidky. The high spkes in leaks are due to my making the mask more comfortable and allowing air to escape I can remember donig that. My charts are below . . any comments - does it look like it's gong to need more tweaking?

Maybe...maybe not. This is first night at this new pressure range so give things a bit of time to see how they settle in. This is good enough to watch for several days. If you need any tweaking...I don't think it will be very much.

Looking really good and a huge improvement over your other reports.

Those Flow Limitations...random and not a bother at this time.

Thanks Pugsy! I can tell the difference this afternoon. I feel alive and alert. Yesterday evening I seemed to be back in that narclopesy phase. So, I am hopeful. If it needs tweaking so be it, but I think we are finally moving in the right direction.

macewa

Congratulations on the Great night and I hope you have many more, starting with tonight.

This happened to me for a very, very long time. I learned that I really needed to set as much of the stuff up well before bedtime as I could. It still can happen to me if I leave *everything* to the last minute on the days where I actually wash everything out.

If putting your stuff together tends to wake you up by the time you climb into the bed, then get as much of it done around supper time as you can. It makes it one less thing to worry about and helps recapture that carefree sense of "I can go to bed whenever" that existed pre-CPAP.
