I currently have a sore left jaw - yawned too far! I use a heavy duty teeth protector that the dentist made for me.
I want to give my jaw a rest and the Quattro does put a bit of pressure on it so I decided that I would loosen the straps so the mask is almost falling off and just live with a higher AHI while the jaw heals.
I have done this once before and got exactly the same result. The mask leaks and there is even a little bit of large leak but none of it wakes me up.
The AHI is between 0.3 - 0.6 (slightly lower than usual) and my usual auto pressure of approx. 18 is down to about 15-16. It has been happening for almost a week now.
Does anyone have suggestions as to why this happens?
Vey loose mask = lots of leaks = great AHI = lower pressure?

Too high of leak rate makes the data bad. Jim

If I only get approx 5 mins of large leak rate do you think it would still be reliable?

I get Zero minutes of large leak and try to keep me avg leak level under 38 LPM on my Dailies. Jimsnoozysue wrote:If I only get approx 5 mins of large leak rate do you think it would still be reliable?
I go by the dailies as my guide for my treatment my pressure is 15 cm, with a Comfort gel nasal mask.
