Sleepyhead and saving files

Post by Arizona-Willie » Tue Feb 21, 2012 10:23 am

I just got Sleepyhead a few days ago, just before the author took a hiatus

I have had Sleepyhead reading the S9 data directly from the card and then it reads the oximetry from the file uploaded by the oximeter to the SO2 software.
But, if I want to go back and look at todays data later or yesterdays, I have to re-insert the card because the S9 data is not being saved anywhere.

Should I be using the Rescan 3.16 software to read the card and save the data THEN have Sleepyhead read that?
Or would that work?

I was surprised to discover that Sleepyhead does not seem to save it's own files.

On the file menu there is no SAVE item.

It does seem to keep the overall stats somewhere, because if I go into Sleepyhead later in the day it has the AHI etc. for last night on statistics page and some overall graphs but the detailed data is not available with the card.

Am I doing something wrong?

I am able to go back and see December's ResMed detailed data right now in SleepyHead even without the SD card.

I didn't do anything special to save those files. They are just there after the download because they don't go anywhere.

Once they are imported to SleepyHead they should stay imported. Right now I can open SH and see all the 3 weeks daily details when I used the ResMed machine in December.

Are you saying if you go back in the calendar using SleepyHead that you can't see the daily details from say 2 nights ago? What do you see in its place?
Now detailed data that was overwritten prior to your using SleepyHead....that detailed data won't be available because it is not on the card. And if the SD card wasn't in the machine for some reason..no detailed data for that night either.

But once in SleepyHead...it doesn't go anywhere if you are using the same user profile each time. There isn't anywhere for it to go.

Well I seem to have the past data showing now.

But, If I bring up the data for the 19th it shows the oxygen data on the graphs etc.
If I bring up the 20th it has the daily stats but does not show the oxygen data on the graphs but if I click on Oximeter it shows me the graphs for the data on their own page.
Somehow the oxygendata is also assigned to the 21st which should be downloaded until tomorrow. I goofed up somehow.

Do you have your time zone set correctly in your SleepyHead User Profile?

Sorry but I can't help with the Pulse Oximeter data. I don't have one of those things yet.

On Sunday I went into Sleepyhead and went all the way back to the first night I used my machine (9/19/11). Everything is there,
But if for some reason your machine isn't saving, you could do what I'm doing. I am printing out my reports daily and keeping them in a binder. That way, I have comparisons and can bring that with me when I go to my doctor or DME.

I also went back and made a table where I listed each day and all my stats. I know that's kinda ridiculous in a way, but it was good for me because it really gave me a better picture of things and I know what settings don't work. What I discovered was that my 17/22 BiPap (not auto) was pretty much doing the job, but every morning I felt like a truck had hit me and my nose and headaches lasted most of the day. I might have to go back to those numbers but am hoping with the auto part of the BiPap, we can find something that works as good without the pain associated.

Does this mean Sleephead is no longer available to download?

SleepyHead is still available for download and it still works great.

Jedimark (the forum member who has developed SleepyHead) is taking a break from coding and working on SleepyHead to take care of his own personal health issues at this time. He is still around but just isn't going to be working round the clock polishing up some of SleepyHead's features or creating any new features for the time being. He is taking a well earned vacation from the headaches that come with developing new software.
