Masks and headgear

Post by jenn1270 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 6:17 pm

I've tried out a few masks over the last few weeks thanks to the return insurance through CPAP.com. My DME has a pretty limited mask selection(pretty much all PR masks), so it was a bit easier to do it myself. I've settled on the ComfortBlue petite, but hate the headgear because it is way too big for my little head. I tried it with a mirage FX for her headgear and it was great.

Am I the only person that has this issue and use a different brand of mask and headgear?

I use the Headrest nasal pillow mask and really like it but hate the headgear. I also had a ComfortLite 2 so I did so "labratting" and put the ComfortLite 2 headgear strap on my Headrest. Worked well. That was over a year ago! I have bought several of the straps for the ComfortLite 2 to have available, and use it on my Headrest all the time now. it works great for me.

It certainly is fine to "mix and match" headgear to get something that is comfortable for you. I think many people do that. It can only help your sleep and your apnea.
