Sinus drainage
I am having a major problem with sinus drainage and sneezing when using my CPAP. Can anyone out there help me out? I need to use my CPAP, but I am miserable. Thanks for anyone's help.
Re: Sinus drainage
Do you use a humidifier? If no...get one and use it.
If you already use a humidifier...if your setting is low...increase it.
If your setting is already higher....decrease it.
If your setting is in the middle...toss a coin.. but if playing the odds...increase.
Most common complaint of runny, sneezy, miserable nose and drainage is from the nasal mucosa either drying out or getting too much moisture.
Some people need more moisture and some people need less and you will need to experiment to see which you need.

Re: Sinus drainage
I have a runny nose all day. When I first turn on CPAP I can feel it clearing my nose. I have about 10 minutes of postnasal drainage, throat-clearing and a few coughs. Then everything settles down and I have a clear nose to breathe through all night. I use ClimateControl on Automatic with temp at 85. That's what my nose likes.
