Resmed S9 Autoset Data

Post by francois » Mon Feb 13, 2012 6:35 am

I would like to buy a Resmed S9 Autoset. I have since 2005 an old Respironics CPAP and it's time to change. Will I be able to monitor myself all the data with the SD card?

Yes... the card will give you bunches of data. The machine's screen will tell you your:
- amount of sleep you had
- AHI
- Number of apnea incidents
- Number of central incidents
- 95 percentile (if on autoset mode)
- leak rates.

The s9 will tell you all you need to know and probably more than you want to know.

Also, with software (like Sleepyhead) you can see even more data than that! But yes, the screen shows quite a lot of info that you'd want to know each day, just hold the Info and Options keys down together for about 3 seconds, and tons of info becomes available on the LCD screen.

There is an "S9 Escape Autoset" that won't meet your or any other persons needs and should be removed from the market. Its just software that disabled some features by crippling devices to hit a price point is evil.

I believe it's "Escape Auto" and "AutoSet."

I agree you want "AutoSet" over anything with "Escape" in the name.

Some people have been confused or fooled by the different names. In particular be careful about anyone who says "S9 Auto." There is no "S9 Auto" machine.
