Cost of ResMed S9 AutoSet, H5i HH, & Accessories

Post by StevenXXXX » Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:57 pm

Below is a small Excel Worksheet noting the cost of the items I purchased on 12-22-11.
It compares the cost per item as follows:
DME Provider Retail Price
Price my BC/BS PPO Insurance Plan pays for those items
CPAP.com price

How do you manage to get the ClimateLine down to $19? I'd order one right now from CPAP.com if I could for that price. I see $51 on their site.

I've seen people claiming to sell the full S9 package for around $750 on craigslist and on a medical supply auction site. Has anyone actually picked up a brand new S9 and H5i for such a low price or is this just a bait and switch someone is trying to pull online?

The $19.00 is the price if you buy the entire system at one time & not if you are buying only the ClimateLine hose.

Gotcha. Darn. I was on UHC last year and their insurance price for my DME was $0. My DME told me that now I'm on BCBS this year, it will be around $80.

A year ago, when I bought my Autoset from CPAP.com, the bonus of the day (week, whatever) was the Climateline hose for $19.
Yessss! I notice the specials aren't always that great, but I was lucky that day.
Edit: I also got the sleep phones for a penny. (The cord was way too short)

Yes, they can be purchases for less than $750 -- not bait and switch!

I purchased a S9 Autoset, H5I Humidifier and a Climateline hose from my DME last month for $800. This was the contracted price with my HMO. I purchased this out of pocket, as I am not due for a replacement machine for another 3.5 years.
