Happy changes with my DME

Post by tetragon » Wed Feb 01, 2012 2:27 pm

In the past, I had related some tales of what my RT said.  In December, I found out that she no longer worked there, and I had a brief visit with someone else.  I just had my second visit with that RT when I was picking up my Bella loops.  I like him.  There were a few moments that he could have had better timing, such as when he decided to poke through my machine's setup while I was sprawled out in a recliner with my mask on (and the machine off), but overall, I like him.  He did make one change to the setup as I lay there: he enabled the display of AHI.  He likes it when people have access to data.  I didn't even see him blink when I made comments that implied that I poked at the provider setup and read my own data.  Perhaps some of my previous comments and observations got all the blink out of him.

There are other things he did in that quick visit that I liked, but he took much more time with me to check on how everything was going than my old RT did.  When a mask-related visit is no longer having some headgear slung onto me with  "I think this fits", and is instead laying down, with my machine on for a few minutes and a basic data review, I need to remember to allocate more time for them.
