Five pieces of scamware to watch out for
It is just something I read and thought I'd share. I esp. don't like and tend to avoid "toolbars" for anything, or programs anything that I can do - like passwords. Why do I want to store my passwords in some program I know nothing about? Then when I can't remember what the password is - whose fault it that?

Takeaway: From fake antivirus apps to uninvited toolbars, scamware can bog down your users’ PCs — and sometimes do a whole lot worse.

Anyway here is a link to read about the "Five pieces of scamware to watch out for".

Beware - My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it. Hope you do find it helpful and useful.

So, so you do know that your race track fire and this should be marked O T. But, then of course, this consideration is for others, not you! Gumby !

I guess it is up to me to give unhappy people something to btich (complain) about. So my job is to make them happy.

If you can't tell from a succinct subject line if something is OT or OT (On Topic or Off Topic) and continue to open it. And then fail to comprehend the first sentence of said posting - you likely qualify for SSDI.

I do believe this OCD attribute has been discussed before and clearly disposed of.

If you are too lazy to follow convention and write Off Topic at the beginning of an off topic post.....
and then blame others who fell for your scam thinking you might have something valuable to say, well I think it's just a sad commentary on your respect and consideration of other forum members.
This is troll behavior.

A tip on computer use clearly has something to do with forum use and clicking on pop-ups and applies to everyone reading this. IF you are not interested why do you think others are NOT? What kind of self-centered behavior is that?

It IS Beyond the scope of any training I may have had and beyond the scope of this forum.

I didn't think about if this was OT or not... the subject line just caught my eye and I opened it.

Simply put, if the "rule" here is to put OT before anything that does not pertain to sleep apnea, then type OT! What's the big deal??

YOU people remind me of those who live in condos and have nothing to do but mind everyone elses business. Just hoping they will break some kind of rule, usually there is some rule in their head.

I say get treatment people.

Kindly show me the rule or just mind your own business.

Gumby,

Don't let your detracters get to you. Remember, amos still loves you - on topic or off topic.

Me too.

I fail to see what all the hooplah is with OT posted or not. I figure I can read or not read and since it takes only a few seconds to decide if something is worth my following it or not....Not a big deal for me. Each to their own though.

Someone deleted Gumby's post this morning that explained this kind of behavior.

This behavior has to do with people who just can't tolerate others being different or having an opinion which differs from their point of view, so they delete what they don't agree with. Poof, so it's gone.

Imagine how boring life would be IF we all have the same opinion. I've said it before and will say it again - "I have NEVER learned a thing from someone who always agrees with me".

Honestly, ALL I was trying to do is bring news & information to others who might otherwise not see it. But got caught up in some people's imaginary rules.

So what Gumby posted this morning was ....

So man-up - who deleted Gumby's post this morning?
